Magically facing the Dolomites
First Impressions & Setting
The Belvedere Hotel is located in Jenesien, in a fantastic panoramic location with a stunning view of the Alpine world of the Dolomites. The small mountain village is perched high above South Tyrol’s capital of Bolzano. This fantastic location is also what gives the hotel 300 days of sunshine a year. The view is spectacular at any time of day, but especially in the evening when the mountains are glowing. I could definitely get used to that. 🙂
We were greeted extremely friendly with a welcome drink and were immediately speechless by the beautiful view. There is a very special atmosphere in the hotel, so that vacation feelings arise immediately.
Rooms
Our Slope Suite Amira included open-plan seating area and a private balcony overlooking the mountains. With all the wonderful decor and spaciousness, it was very easy to feel at home during my stay. The room is very spacious – our highlight was the walk-in closet and the beautiful rain shower. Great emphasis is also placed on cleanliness and hygiene. The suite is built into the porphytic rock and faces out in an easterly or south-easterly direction. A clear architectural style, high quality materials and elegant 2x2m Sommier beds provide plenty of room to breathe.
Food
My other personal highlight was the food: The breakfast is extremely rich and especially the large selection of fresh fruit was wonderful. Especially at breakfast, the „0 kilometer“ philosophy is followed. Bread, butter, milk and eggs come from farms and businesses in the immediate vicinity. Jams are homemade, the tea assortment consists among other things of local herbs. You can taste the freshness and regionality. Especially the hay milk is really delicious compared to the milk that we find on the shelves of a supermarket in a big city.
The dinner menu was also incredibly delicious: In the evening you will be spoiled with delicious five courses, in which South Tyrolean cuisine is combined with Mediterranean influences. The first course is a varied salad buffet, followed by a cold and a warm appetizer. For the main course you have the choice between meat, fish or vegetarian meals. Especially the meat and fish dishes are very creatively designed and a real taste experience. The final course is a dessert, which was really always my visual highlight. The food quality is truly stunning.
Infinity Pool
THE highlight, however, is the infinity pool. From the right perspective, heaven and earth seem to merge seamlessly. You could spend hours here at the edge of the pool soaking up the wonderful tranquility and would love to preserve this moment forever. The view of the Dolomites and Bolzano is a dream and with a great offer in the wellness and with the heated infinity pool unbeatable. This pool is definitely one of the most beautiful I have ever swum in!
Facilities
The hotel offers a whirlpool with a wonderful view, a bio pool and, of course, the beautiful infinity pool: Especially at sunrise and sunset, it leaves you speechless here. Everything is built and equipped with great attention to detail and quality materials. The design and location are unique.
Of course, the sauna in the basement of the Belvedere is also oriented towards the mountains, so that you can sweat your pores here with a dream view. Afterwards, a cozy relaxation room with waterbeds or comfortable loungers in the garden invite you to unwind. You can even find a bio sauna or a Turkish steam bath in the wellness area.
At the Belvedere Spa, relaxing massages and beauty treatments entice you with deep relaxation. Since the larch is common in Jenesien, it is also used in massages in the form of homemade oil. If the mountains are not enough of a workout for you, you can work out in the very well-equipped gym, which offers a brilliant view thanks to a large glass front across the entire width.
Overall
Dolce Vita in the South Tyrolean mountains! A dream vacation awaits you in a spectacular panoramic location at 1,080 m on the sunny slope above Bolzano with over 300 days of sunshine a year. You will experience a unique natural landscape and unforgettable hikes to the hidden beauties of South Tyrol.
Would we want to come again? Absolutely, the altitude, the silence, the great architecture, the absence of hustle and bustle, the clear air and the South Tyrolean flair ensure a high memory value and a lot of valuable relaxation.
